Know thyself, believe in God, and dare to dream

Which way to the hot chocolate?

Last night, Jill and I decided to make a night of it and go to the Luminary Festival in down town St. Joe. Now normally St. Joe is rather boring and full of tourists, but we figured we would blaze the snow and the wind and enjoy some of the beauty of "Michigan's most romantic city" The paths were lined with brightly lit luminaries and the smell of pine filled the air. There were all sorts of people walking the streets. Children ran all around us as we casually strolled down the road. And to top it all off, there were carolers singing in the streets. Some of these groups were dressed up, and some (like below) consisted of people like you and I who just enjoy singing the glory of the Holidays!

We managed to stop into numerous of the quaint little shops that seem to hide every time you pass through downtown. We also manged to meet some really cool locals that were as friendly as pie.
We each found a saying we liked.. and even though we didn't buy them, I ended up finding a neat puzzle from my childhood that I am excited to glue and frame and add to my wall hangings!

We stayed down town for about an hour and a half, bobbing in and out of stores searching for the hot coco that everyone ELSE seemed to find.
On the way home, after I dropped Jill off at her car, she managed to pull a Lindsayism and while kicking the ice off her car, slipped and fell flat on her behind! It was as if I was watching a video of myself!
Loved it.
Overall, it was a fun night and decided that behind all the Chicago tourists, the small "everyone knows everyone" atmosphere, and the Whirlpool drunks, St. Joe may not be TOO awful of a place to live.

I am blessed and highly favored, and so are you!
